The team is anxious to grow and establish our foothold once again within the professional scene. From previous teams such as Team Name Change, Collegiate Team – Dark Blaze, Gale Force eSports, and Sweet Synergy, Team Blaze continues to build and cement our legacy within the eSports industry.

“We are very excited to continue the establishment of Team Blaze within the Heroes of the Storm scene. The new Team Blaze roster’s first showing will be this weekend for the North America 2016 Fall Qualifiers #1 on July 10th. I am thrilled in the raw talent, knowledge and energy our new players bring to the Team Blaze roster. Continue to cheer for us and watch for our ‘Dank’ Memes.”

Paul 'Apauloh' Oh Joins

April 12, 2016

Team Blaze is pleased to announce the addition of Paul ‘Apauloh’ Oh to our Heroes of the Storm team effective immediately. He will join the likes of Eugene ‘Yuuj’ Tseng, Richard ‘Kladeous’ Tran, Jason ‘Jason’ Mei, and Josh ‘bkid’ Choi as they continue to position themselves as one of the top teams in the scene.

Formerly of Pool Plato Some Tangos, Apauloh has had a surge within the collegiate scene where he was part of Boston College competing in Heroes of the Dorm.

“We are very excited to have Apauloh join the Team Blaze family. Over the course of Heroes of the Dorm, he continued to dominate despite his absences from the professional scene. We believe not only his attitude but his formidable playstyle will be a great fit for the team.”

Fairwell BigEmpct

April 6, 2016

For personal reasons, it is necessary to release Samm ‘bigempct’ Hua from his contract with Team Blaze. His new organization made an offer that he just couldn’t refuse. Bigempct only recently came to Team Blaze and made an immediate, positive impact on our success - most recently helping us place second at Enter the Storm NA #2.  His positive attitude and confident team play matched our organization perfectly.

It’s unfortunate that Team Blaze does not yet have the fiscal resources to compete with some of the sponsored teams. Until such time, Team Blaze remains the most successful, non-sponsored Heroes of the Storm team in North America. In this hyper-competitive environment, the fight for talent in the industry is incredible. Team Blaze will continue its cutting-edge and innovative game play and attract ambitious and like-thinking players.

“It is truly unfortunate that we cannot retain BigE in the Team Blaze family. He’s such a great player and I really appreciate his leadership over the past two months. We wish him nothing but the best…unless he’s playing against Team Blaze, of course. ;)”
— Patrick ‘ShadowSmile’ Smiley – CEO/Founder of Team Blaze

Team Blaze will continue to burn and will be actively seeking to fill out our roster for Heroes of the Storm Summer Regional Qualifier #1

Wish us luck and 'Blaze Your Dongers' PogChamp.

Bang Bang: BKid and BigEmpct join Team Blaze

March 9, 2016

After the release of Roflcopter and Batterry, the team knew we would have to find two leaders that would fit in the quirky dynamic and demands of Team Blaze. We are happy to announce that Josh ‘BKid’ Choi, the Sidestep King and Sammuel 'Bigempct' Hua, the former captain of Panda Global, have joined our Heroes of the Storm team.

This past weeks results have looked promising as the new roster has ‘Blazed’ through scrimmages. The new Team Blaze roster's first showing will be this weekend for Enter The Storm North America #2 on March 12th. I am thrilled in the talent and energy our new players bring to the Team Blaze roster.

“Hi I’m bigE and I will be joining Team Blaze as the ranged carry assassin player. I am super excited to join an established team with great players and a positive drive to become the best in North America. Before I joined Blaze, I met the staff and players at recent LAN events and they are all wonderful people with great attitudes. I can’t wait to show fans what we have in store for our first tournament together in Enter the Storm.”
— Sammuel 'Bigempct' Hua
“I’m excited to continue my professional eSports career with Team Blaze, one of the best teams in Heroes of the Storm. My teammates are all great players and I’m pumped to develop our chemistry and skills to be the very best. I look forward to wearing the Blaze colors with pride in ETS this weekend. Bang Bang.”

Parting Ways With: ROFLCOPTER & BATTERRY

March 2, 2016

Today is a hard day for Team Blaze. We are officially announcing our decision to part ways with both Batterry and Roflcopter after a memorable and successful journey together.

Roflcopter represented Team Blaze since our inception as core starter to-date. When Roflcopter first joined, we started out in the amateur scene and began the slow uphill climb towards the top. It was a long and steep road but was progression was evident leading up to the Spring Regionals. Seeing his dream come to fruition was more than we could have asked for. Batterry stepped in during a critical phase for the team, in search to improve our staff and infrastructure he started out as our coach. Overtime we felt confident in his potential and through his efforts surfaced to become a core pillar for the team. His time with us was redefining strategically.

Team Blaze started from absolute scratch with aspirations and inspirations alike. Together we forged our way acquiring talent from the likes of Roflcopter and Battery. It is with great sadness that I am writing this post, but it is with great joy and pride as we look back on their career and development within Team Blaze.

Finally, I would like to share some personal words with you regarding our decision. Heroes of the Storm is very new game, in which we hope to build and cement our legacy within the esports industry. Talent will come and go but friendship will not. Thank you.

Team Blaze Takes 5th-6th at North American Spring Regionals

March 1, 2016

Team Blaze leaves California with their heads held high at their results this past weekend. Team Blaze ended the Heroes of the Storm North American Spring Regional taking the 5-6th slot alongside King of Blades Alpha.

The team Day 1 took a nail biting 2-1 series versus Cognitive Gaming after an explosive boss throw on Sky Temple with Cho'Gall. Team Blaze advanced into day 2 with high hopes as they competed against the Goliath's' Cloud9. A decisive Game 2 with Artanis brought Team Blaze back into it the fight however, we were not able to best Cloud9 who would later go to win the tournament 3-1 vs Naventic and advance to Korea. Last game of the event for Team Blaze was a rematch against Cognitive Gaming. Once again, both teams threw blow after blow however this time it would be Cognitive who would advance forward.

We at Team Blaze are very proud of our results thus far and hope to continue to contend to become the best in North America.
